This is a complicated card in that it uses a number of techniques : the central butterfly is free-standing lace (FSL) wjich I made using a design I bought from Stitch Delight (click for the link) but the rest of the design is all my own work.

Since this card is over eight inches across, the central circle of butterflies would not fit in my 4 inch hoop in one go - instead the design is in four parts and had to be rotated and rehooped for each section.

The outer frame is made of parchment and I kept it simple since the rest of the card is so detailed!
