This little sewing kit is very easy to make : stitch the design out on a piece of felt big enough to fold in half after the design is finished, making a "front cover" (the embroidered side) and a "back cover" (plain.) Cut another piece of felt or fabric the same size and stitch the two together, either by hand or machine, about a quarter of an inch / half a centimetre away from the blue line to the left of the design - this makes it into a "book" with four leaves, with the stitched line as the spine.

Fold along the stirched line so it looks like a book, then trim the whole thing, through all four thicknesses, the same distance (quarter inch/half centimetre) away from the remaining blue line.

Open the pages and use them to insert pins, needles, safety pins etc; - if you thread the needles with different coloured cottons you will be all ready to go!
